报告题目：The unique astrophysical objects study at Maidanak observatory in Uzbekistan

摘 要：Atmospheric conditions at the Maidanak astrophysical observatory (MAO) of the Ulugh Beg Astronomical Institute (UBAI) for high-resolution observation are compatible to the conditions at the world best international observatories, like Paranal and La Silla in Chile, observatory Roque de los Muchachos in the Canary Islands. This fact coupled with location in the middle of Euro-Asian continent makes the Maidanak observatory very attractive for international observing programs requiring uninterrupted (for day and night time) monitoring of astrophysical objects. It is especially important for monitoring of objects demonstrating strong intra night and inter night variations.

The results of work carried out in MAO on study unique astrophysical objects will be presented and discussed.

A talk will start with a brief introduction on the history of Medieval astronomy in Uzbekistan.
